Roles and Reponsibilities
Program Assistants help keep sessions running smoothly by maintaining circuits, setting up and rearranging teaching aids, and assisting with materials. They reinforce the coach’s lessons and teaching points, provide support to skaters who need a little extra help, and lend a hand with setup and cleanup. Above all, Program Assistants bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to every session!
Qualities of a great Program Assistant
A great Program Assistant is patient, enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable. They communicate clearly, demonstrate skills effectively, and work well as part of a team while being a positive role model for skaters. They come prepared, stay organized and punctual, and are confident leading groups, encouraging skaters, and offering praise. Most importantly, they help keep skaters engaged and moving while creating a fun, welcoming, and positive skating environment!
