Pre-competitive Programe

The Deux Rives Skating Club Pre-Competitive Programme (PCP), which is aligned with the Patinage Quebec development model, is an introductory figure skating programme for girls under eight (8) years of age and boys under ten (10) years of age. The skaters are selected, through auditions and a talent identification process, by the Club’s Development Director within our Canskate or Pre-STAR programs.

Group PCP lessons take place twice on two (2) weekly sessions and encourage the skaters to develop towards competitive skating.

For optimal results, and to accelerate through the program, participants are encouraged to follow the below recommendations:

1) Participate in a connected activity such as ballet, gymnastics or dance; and

2) Booking semi-private STAR lessons with your assigned PCP coach, at your own expense, once a week.
